engine/gearbox mounts

my car is approaching 50k and i want to replace the engine/gearbox mounts as i want to keep the car fresh, and theres a little bit of movement that i feel in changing gear nothing serious , how much am i looking at for parts? i want standard parts not uprated ktec ones?

i don't think you will notice a great deal of difference. If its feeling a little sloppy maybe change the dogbone mount... or if you don't mind a bit of vibration through the cabin stick some KTR bushes into the dogbone..... (powerflex iirc)

the dogbone mate is the one under the car,bolts to the floor, www.hillpower.co.uk get one of nicks uprated ones

the o/s mount is £93 from reno..
think the g/box mount is about £18 iirc..
dogbone 1's from ktec r £36 iirc

I just had the gearbox mount on mine changed (the one under the battery), gear change is so much better now. Could be an idea to change that one.

very true!
iv shattered three standard ones!
so i made a replacement steel one but still used the oe rubber part
i prefer vibration.

Mine's fucked as well, yesterday i could really notice, it's on it's way out
what's the price on this one ?

is this the one with the long pin connecting to the gearbox ? Are there more parts to be bought within this complete mount ?

(is it the complete one we're talking about or just the top one you see when removing battery)

i just change the rubber part normally as the long pin you describe is strong

I have KTR dog bone mount, seem much better than the Standard on IMO, might put more stress on the other mounts, but they'll jus get changes when that time comes!

You have to becareful it doens' damage the holes as uch though as well.

Personaly the cost/damage risk is to high.
