Im trying to post a picture but I think the uploader doesnt like me tonight, anyway on the MK1 1.8 16v there is what looks like a silver foil covered heat shield fixed to the engine bay behind the manifold. Has this part got a name/number and where can I get one. Does it actually do much? I guess its there to aid cooling as its in line with air coming down from the bonnet vent.
If its gotta be there it might as well look nice!
