Engine management light.

Just a quick question, will disconecting the battery turn off the eml ?
As driving home tonnight no warning the light just come on although the car still drives fine any ideas ?

O2 Sensor is my guess.

Disconnecting will reset ECU, but the light might come on in 5 minutes, or 5 months. If it's persistent get the code read.

Yer I had a new lamba sensor put in by rentech just before Christmas surely it won't be gone already :/
