what noise does it make to make u know this, I need to know which mount to replace on mine, three dealers say three different mounts

It most likly the dogbone it take most of the abuse. In your car the extra Hp and torque must be killing it.
I'm not sure on the best fix maybe a second mount welded on.

has it snapped or have the bushes just gone?
i think first time it snapped and was welded back! but i think this time the bush has gone! i think its also responsable for my probs gear changing too! as the gearbox moves!

The mount is aluminum so it pretty hard to weld, if you buy the poly bush for the dogbone it stresses the other bushes more, i have the poly one it does a good job and i dont mind paying for new upper bushes but if you do then stick to the rubber one @ £30 a pop all in

definately get the k-tec uprated poly one - got one in my 172 - stops loads of engine movement - get a bit more bibration through the car but at least now the gear stick stays still

Guys,

I had this, so I uprated to the dogbone from K-tec, this was ok, however, after a few runs I developed loads of vibration through the car which turned out to be engine mount under battery box!!.. tIts must have vibrated lose due to the stronger bottom mount.

Yes, thats why your exhaust hits the sub frame....

they are supposed to be quite poor mounts anyway - plus as Fraser said with that amount of power they are under a lot more stress than a standard 172 etc.
