Engine Mounts & manifold

Just been in to kwik-fit in an attempt to find the problem of my exhaust blowing.

they said that the manifold was loose or something and that my engine mounts have gone (which probably caused the manifold to go)

does this sound likely?

Where can I get engine mounts/manifold done and what sort of price should i expect to pay? i feel i'm about to be stung with labour charges

Engine mounts probably renault mate, if the mounts have come loose and the engine has moved causing the manifold to strike the body then it might well come loose.

YOU can get a new manifold from ebay for not much, there's 3 on there at the moment that i can think of. and get on the phone to euro car parts or gsf about the mounts. i might be wrong, but i don think its that difficult, compared to other jobs on a valver!

in the process of getting hold of my mate, who should have a sling to lift the engine and put new mounts on

will have a look at ebay now; see how much manifolds are going for

those manifolds on ebay, are for the williams.

will they fit mine?
