How much roughly does it cost to get some new engine mounts? It looks like my engine is going to do a backflip it's so loose! What benefits(if any) should you get with new ones?
if it moves too much, it'll snap your exhaust,
NOT fun, when it happens and you crawl home at 10 miles an hours with a snapped manifold!
ive heard less engine roll means more power trasfered to the wheels
(instead of ur engine tilting back, it pushes the car farward instead)
but dont take me for gosbel on that.
a set of Ph2 mounts is about £130ish (depends where you buy them from); if your old ones are shot, new ones will feel much better - it just reduces the amount of shunting around that the engine does (esp. whilst changing gear)
that happened to my mates mini, it snapped the 3 branches clean off,
but it happened to my mates clio 1.4s too
his bottom engine mount snapped,
the engine swung alot further, then its meant to lol
(to the point that the gearchanger would go all the way down past the handbrake
because the engine moved to much it complete mullered the engire echaust along with the mounts.
non of the mounts on my mates mini had accually snapped, and it still snapped the exhaust tho.
