Yesterday I went to start up my car and it wasn’t very happy.
It started but it was very sluggish at first and the idle revs were right down. I gave it a few revs to help it and it seemed to pick up a bit. The other problem was that is was making a loud whining noise which it never had done before, the whining got louder as you rev the car.
I took it for a drive and there was no problem, it drove fine, it was just this annoying whining which I didn’t like the sound of. I thought I could live with it making a noise for a while as I haven’t got much spare dosh at the moment but then when I got back from my drive I could smell something as if it was burning, a really strong horrible smell so I turned the engine off straight away and thought I better not drive it like that.
Im booking it into my mechanic today but I just wondered if anyone has come across this or have any idea what would be causing this whining and burning smell.
