engine removal

hi everyone!

doing a job today on a 97 MPI 8v engine code d7f-a730 i think, the 1.2

just wondering can i take the engine out leaving the box in place? or do i have to remove the box as well?

why woudl you want to leave the box in??? just take the wholelot out

cam belts snapped and i dont want to go through the trouble with drive shafts etc

Take it all out mate its much easier.

One shaft just needs a pin nocking out and the other just unbolts off the box, piece of piss! Just make sure you drain the g/b oil first
