Engine speed & cold engine

Hi,

Just wondered whats the highest rpm I can safely do from cold?

Also, not sure if anyones experienced this, but when I rev in 1st to over 3500 rpm, generally get a click as I change into 2nd??! Does anyone know what this could be?

Mines a 4 month old 1.2 16v.

I wouldnt take it over 3k when its cold. Id wait for about 15 minutes normal driving before giving it death.

Yeah i agree with Badinvincibal try and not to push over 3 k until about 12 mins.
