Engine stalling

  Suzuki Ignis Sport
Ever since i have fitted my induction kit, (sometimes) when i realease the clutch and accelerate (as normally) my engine stalls. And sometimes wen im going along in 2nd gear, it cuts out then starts up again.. why is this?

I'll probably get slagged off to fcuk for my answer and people might say i'm talkin b****cks but i had exactly the same thing happen to me when i fitted a k+n apollo on my 182 . I didn't follow the instructions where it told me to disconnect the battery for 30 mins . In the end the car chugged to a halt , the AA bloke couldn't get it started so had to tow me home .

I rang k+n the day after and explained this to a guy in the R+D department . He told me i should have disconnected the battery as per instructions .

So i did this and hey presto the bloody thing worked no problem . Its something to do with the ecu readjusting itself to the different airflow ( waits for the sarky comments, lol ) .

Anyway , like i said .It worked for me . So you might want to give it a try Hazza . You've got nothing to lose have ya . Except your radio if you don't have the code , lol .

I'd be interested to know if it " does " work or not ;) It might be the same problem i had or could be a totally different problem .

should I do this with mine...? Just got a new BMC Induction Kit and it feels a little "juddery" in 1st/2nd gear.

Your supposed to leave it for 30 mins , then reconnect the neg lead . Its " supposed " reset the ecu according to the guy at K+N . It worked on my car anyway .

Was driving for a bit last nite at around midnight, was at a red light, so was stationary, the green light comes on, i try pulling out of the junction, but istall... switched hte engine off, and did it again, and again, three times in a row!.... then i figured if i release the clutch and put it to neutral, then change the gear, and pull out, and it was fine from there, why was this?.. is it beacsue i have resetted the ECU fully?
