Engine swap-Once and for all

Finally decided to scrap trying to use the engine that has been half fitted into my clio and just get a whole new engine swap done!

Been in touch with David at K-tec and so far its my only option,but could be doing with somwhere closer to Glasgow that could do the swap as trying to arrange a towing car and trailer coupled with the distance has been a right pain in the arse!

What car is it? If it's jus a straight swap any competent mechanic should be able to do it. I gave the guy a hand to do mine and I dare say I could now do it myself!

clio was a 1.4 dynamic and the engine i had was out of a phs1 172

This brought up a host of problems with the garage that first started the convertion,then it was moved to another garage where i was just fobbed off with different excuses as to how it could'nt be done!

So now i have a clio with a 172 engine sitting in it,not wired up or hooked up to anything,i have no original key or 1.4 engine and a snapped steering lock and no front bumper!

Clio has been off the road since dec 05

Alright wee guy! Shame it's been off the road so long! the 172 conversion can be done in under 12hrs as proven by MattBlack! Mayb worth approcahing him.

Aye Matt posted about doing it away in 2005!!

Actually spoke to him with regards to when the clio first went in,Guy at the garage kept telling me that he had spoke to Matt directly and that the conversion could'nt be done!!

Getting my clio down to Birmingham would'nt be a problem,Dorset is just a little bit too difficult!
