Engine Top Mount - Update

TO follow on from the engine top mount thread

My clio was in at renault getting its engine mounts checked

They had to replace 2 mounts

I still have some knocking from the car when its wheelspinning but it seems to be driving a lot smoother and my turn in is far more positive with a lot of the "Oh my god it feels like I am on ice" feeling gone

Very happy and all done under warranty

Whats the engine mounts got to do with the cars turning ability?

(Thats meant as a genuine question)

I belive when they said "Two mounts" only one was an engine mount and the other was the top strut mount on the passanger side

However as I havent seen the paperwork yet I cannot say this is true or false however the car is so different to drive now I can only assume that they did something to the suspension.

Unless the engine was sitting at a stupd angle and affecting my weight dist? I dont have a clue they were very vague in telling me what they had done (Which always makes me think that it was somehting they would rather not tell me about)

I know I need one of the strut mounts fixing and I suspect i need an engine mount doing aswell but Id never placed a connection between the cars turning ability and mounts. Hopefully ill get a pleasant suprise.

My cars suffering with sloppy turn in at the minute and the bouncing/ violent knocking when spinning. Never thought about top mounts, hopefully they wont notice the eibachs! and itll be warranty job. Its booked in tomorrow. Ill let you know.
