only engines that will fit STRAIGHT in and bolt in are non RS clio engines, ie 1.2, 1.4, 1.6, 1.5 DCi engines but of course they wont wire straight in. and im assuming your looking for an upgrade (although some will say a dci is an upgrade )

if u want renault engine, 2.0t F4R will fit, gearbox is the issue
5gtt engine will fit although pointless.

infact any engine and box that fits in the bay with bonnet closed and misses subframe will fit and can be used, just costs lots of money!
