Engine Video - Dephaser/Cam Rattle?!

Got an odd noise coming from the cam pulley end of the engine, wierd rattle when it gets to 1700-2000rpm. You can hear it rattle twice every time its revved....

Dephaser or solenoid maybe?

no idea why its crap quality, sony HD camera, lol

anyway, its just like two rattles dead close together, like its doing 'rattle'-'on'-'rattle'-'off'....hard to explain...

dont know weather its something wrong or what though!

  Honda Integra Type R
Dephaser normally only "rattles" when the car is started from cold. Never really does it when being revved :S

i see. Cheers for the video drrollo, thats confirmed it cant be that...

Its sort of like something 'activating/deactivating' as you rev it past ~1500-1700rpm, which led me to believe the it was the dephaser (as the solenoid kicks in and out around that RPM range)...

Matty, its the inlet pulley, it has a solenoid on the top of the cam cover that changes the pulley position on the cam to alter the timing as you pass ~1500rpm.
