Engine warning light after changing plugs and map sensor

Car  Megane 225 Trophy
My cars been off road a few days, changed plugs and map sensor

Now although running fine the engine warning light is on

Any ideas

Did you run it with the MAP sensor (or any other sensor) unplugged? If so it will have logged a fault code... sometimes, the light will go off after 3 cycles of successful startups. Failing that it'll need plugging in to destroy them and turn the light off.

I promise you it will have... it might not have triggered the MIL but a code would have been generated

it might be possible to clear it by disconnecting the batter for half an hour? i put the question mark because this is a fairly unfounded guess mind ...

On some vehicles yes... I know this works on the Astra G as i've done it myself but I don't think it works with EM faults on the Clio II

do as mick says, after a few times starting if the problem isnt there it should go out

it wont be an mot failiure unless the EML has come on due to emissions
