Engine wont crank when kicked over ? HELP

My Clio 172 was running fine, no problems until one day the engine cut out as i was driving and now it wont crank? could it be that it has a holey piston or the head gasket has gone surely the car wouldnt be running fine and then break so badly ? The car has schrick cams and has only done around 55k any suggestions ??

Have you checked tdc sensor?

if it wont turn over, the first thing to look at is the starter motor. If it turns over but wont start, then a compression test to see if the engine is broken would be first, then if thats fine, try a new crank sensor
