Engines that fit in a Mk.2 Clio?

  Tango'd PB 1.2 16V
I've got a 1.2 clio, and proper love the car, but eventually i want a bigger engine.
I've heard a Renault 5 GT turbo will fit in?
Just wondered what else will fit?

^ He asked what engines would fit, not to buy another car

You can fit a 172 182 1.4 1.6 engine no problem into them, you could fit a R5 but would need some work to get it to fit,

its a old out dated engine that isnt all to reliable . you atleast want something modern with injection .

vag 1.8 20v do a turbo and non turbo version
1*2 engine
you can just fit a meganne 225 engine in
volvo 1.7 turbo engine fits
renault v6 engine

pretty much any engine will fit if you have enough time and money , but the above are your best bets

with all the hassel of doing the engine swap what about just buyin a 1*2 of some sort

yawwwn!!!

anything will fit if you have enough cash, the easier options are...

F4R 2.0 16v
K4M 1.6 16v
K9K 1.5 DCi (s**t loads of work but it fits lol)
R5 GTT engine fits but as mentioned above they are getting a bit old now, if you were doing it ideally you would want to rebuild the full thing which could end up getting expensive, but its cheap power and an easier conversion id say due to less complicated engine.

you could do something different and use a 4efte 1.3 16vT from a starlet or something like that
