thats a 1.6 8v engine for starters IIRC :S

and it looks like the engine mount isn't sat in its...mount lol and theres no rubber in the mount ?

WTF :S does she drive it like that ? How does it not fall to pieces ? ? !

about 10min with a trolley jack and possibly a new mount (about £50 for the part)

just get someone off here with a hydralic (sp) lift to help you out... shouldn't take too long?

if not then garage. can't see it being a massive job as it just looks like it needs unbolting and moving across so wouldn't thing it would be massivly expensive.. but then again im not a mechanic so ignore all of that <<

btw she mentioned something about aircon wires
price/labour for that?

edit: friend of a friend boosh, thought it was a she, its a he apparently, anyway, he just said the car doesnt go in reverse...gear box fail? how much? iv heard these are pricy...no?

i think this is more than than it looks to be.
Anyone with any sense would mount it in the right place. theres a reason y it cant be mounted propily. mounted gearbox first then engine? using a different box with different mountings? lots of dodgy possibilities!

That aircon pipe is bent there. Could be a problem.

er it's split the mount and jumped out of the cradle. Only thing garage may have donw wrong IMO is not spotted a very poor condition mount

he was going over bumps too fast resulting in the engine coming out of place itself...(reserve you judgement on his driving)

should that even happen though? and how much for the gearbox and aircon pipe?

loks to me like the engine has just jumped out of place and she cant get reverse bacause on the angle of the engine and box making the linkage hit the ezhaust . it will also nee an aircon pipe and a regas but that will cost as it needs to be emptied preffesionlly before relaceing the pipe as its illeagal to allow the gas to go in to the atmosphere

probally looking around 250 if you do the engine mount your self but thats simple to do

yeah thats trade pricey but try getthe parts second hand and youll prob get a tad cheaper as its only 40£ to regas and you can do the work your self with minimal noledge and tools
