Was in N.Wales this week, and we had some snow! Needed coal for the fire so we took a trip to Bala, just 4 miles down the road. Rather than just go back and light a fire we decided to have a little mooch up the hills towards DINAS.
Err, by the time I realised we should stop the car and go back down the hill, it was well, too late.
The car wouldn't go forwards or backwards, and it was starting to get dark. We cleared the snow from around the car, let the tyres down (a la Ray Mears and the Icelanders in Jeremy Clarkson's Motorworld back in the day) to little or no avail.
The more we faffed around the more the front of the car veered towards the hedge and impending drop the other side!
By now the car was getting it's NSR a bit lodged in the ditch and the Mrs was really starting to get high pitched and repetitive with her vocalisation.
To cut a long story short; some kind farmer-types came along in a flat bed and towed us up the hill a bit and then pushed the car down the hill where we could turn it round....
Phew.
Anyone else had some fun in their silly 2WD eurobox?
