Erratic battery

Past couple of months my 4S so slowly been playing up but lately the battery is mental. As an example just now I picked up my phone and my battery was 17%. I opened FB and opened a picture then I got a 10% battery warning and my battery was at 5%

Any ideas what's up with it?

It is getting old probably.

My 3gs used to die at around 40%, it became a liability. My 4S started to get funny recently and after getting run over by a car I've replaced the front/screen, rear and battery. It is an easy job & a cheap part. Worth doing [at your own risk] if outside of warranty and you don't want to upgrade.

Batteries don't last forever, replace it
