Erratic idle

Hi all, ive got a 172 exclusive and i love it to bits but please somebody help me! it idles like a pig when hot, perfect from cold fast idle and everything. No codes showing on clip. Any idea's?:S

Does the temperature dial go irratical when it does it?
Try running on Optimax for a bit.

sounds like a slight air leak... when its hot the gap will be bigger... so worse idle

check the inlet manifold gaskets.

no temp gauge is fine. optimax doesnt really affect it, even tried octane booster.

spray some wd 40 (or similar) around the joints... plenum to manifold join, throttle body to plenum

etc etc

little squirts at a time...

these will stall the engine or change the speed if they are drawing in air there...

easy way to check for leaks
