ERROR Codes etc (helpful)

Ya all probably know this anyway but thought id mention it as ive had alot of help.

To find out if ya av any error codes ya hold down ya trip button on the end of ya wipers stalk then turn on ya ignition this will send the needles on ya speedo into some sort of calibration mode and they start 2 dance lol. then ya just use the trip button to go through 2 ya codes.

to stop it just press ya milage rest stalk coz will carry on when ya start the engin lol and ya wont know wot speed ya doin

The 2002 onwards models give you all the info such as faults and MPG.

Anything before it only makes sure the all the dials work properly, you hold down the mileage reset button on the pre 2001 models.

Not true as the mk2 Ph1 172s can do this fault check as I have done on mine

Must just be on the sport models pre 2001 then, as my 51 plate only shows that the dials are working properly.
