ESP saved me again

Was driving to work yesterday, it was a bit moist on the road. went over one roundabout as i came up to the next i was only doing about 25, went to steer and i started to understeer towards the kerb, put the brakes on and i started to go sideways and the ESP cut in and stopped me from ploughing into the kerb!! went to work and chatted about it, its a newly built roundabout and the camber of it is appauling!! anyway thats the 2nd time its stopped an accident for me now! thanks renault!

And the ESP didn't do a thing to help me.

Of course I hadn't jumped on the brakes. All I'd done is take my foot off the throttle so a bit of weight transferred back onto the front wheels, and that was enough for them to get enough grip that I just missed the kerb on the way out.

Sounds daft, but worth going to a carpark at night, and learning how to drift safely/ recover from slides etc. Could save your skin one day!

pah, get a real one with out the driving aids! the best way to learn, go and finsd a wet roundabout at about 4am, and learn lift off oversteer! its fin when you know what your doing, just remember, plant the accelerator! not the beakes otherwise you WILL crash.

yea! for no abs or esp i mean i dont need a computer to help me brake! and oversteer is great way better then understeer which my mk1 clio had loads of when the tyres were bald

I would worry if you are relying on using it for excess speeds to help you out, its great fun throwing it around the roundabouts and it helps just in case, and you wont kill you or anyone else if its done sensibly( lol, what am i saying) .

I am trying to say, dont rely on it at stupid speeds, where you can't afford to fook about.
