Essex Karting meet - Sunday 30th October @ 12pm

  • Individual Enduro: £48 per driver – 5 min qualifying session / 30 min race

    Votes: 1 4.5%

  • Enduro Sprint: £58 per driver: 5 min practice session / 2 x 10 min heats / 20 min final

  • Iron Man Enduro Challenge: £68 per driver – 10 min qualifying session / 50 min race

Yeah! I dont fancy go-karting on ice! Never been before, couldnt go when work did it :( so Im guaranteed to lose but oh well!

Yeah me, mace and will. failed last time but ben_r1 made sure we weren't last so technically didn't lose :rasp:.

If all goes well then this should be a cracking meet, the list looks really good so far. Obviously expect there to be some who can't make it but if we do it the same way as paintball where we pay before we go it's a lot easier.

Will get a date sorted by the end of today with a little luck :).

I've stopped eating all together until the event to save weight. Just drinking water.

Probably doesn't apply to put-put corporate karts mind

These karts are quite quick, well were when I went a year or so ago. The bit with the straight is awesome you can go flat out up the straight and right round the right hander.

They'll most likely be four stroke 160-250cc motors, a lot of fun but take a while to build up the speed, however they'll get to around 50-60mph. It's very difficult / impossible to choke from your seat as the airbox is round the back near the axle, and it would only reduce power.

If you're in a 100cc 2 stroke motor choking can sometimes help but used to be used to reduce stress levels on the engine.
