Ever knowingly paid more than its worth just to take it home?

Just wondering if anyone has knowingly paid more than a car is worth just to get it on the drive and either sort it out, look after it or enjoy and appreciate it?

Yes. I paid too much for my Megane but wanted that exact spec etc so had to settle for it!

I once bought a 1991 H plate Xr3i. One of the last mk4's. The going rate was about £5k but I paid £6500 as it proper proper tidy. The guy also owned a concours cosworth so he knew how to look after a car.

I loved that car.

I'm tryingto remember what I sold it for. £4k rings a bell.

Yes years ago with a TR7 V8,wanted one so badly I drove all the way to the arse end of Wales,when I got there it was a dog,but bought it anyway,broke down on the way home as well fkn heap.

Yeah , just done it with mine! Prob slightly overpriced. Not 2 much but wanted a Ly! So tend to pay a premium. All depends what your budget is and how long your gonna keep it etc but sometimes it's worth it!
