Evo Car of the year 2009

However, I think some people on here think the sun shines out of their back passages, and they know everything to do with cars and can drive them better than anyone else.

Sorry who are you referring to here........ yourself maybe.

Yeah no one likes a know it all ;)

Brad, were you the same bradharding24 that was banned from clio16valver within a few months for more of the same, i.e pissing everyone off and not actually making any sense?

I can't image anyone would by a car based on a magazine review alone, but Evos Fast Fleet section provides valuable information on the long term running costs associated with a wide range of motors, which currently includes a Clio 200, which helps to make an informed buying decision. Harry Metcalfe's report on Trophy running costs for instance, including a detailed report on the maintenance of the dampers was priceless. It certainly helps yo buy in confidence, if anything else.

I read all of Evo's long term tests on the 197 and I would say that this was the single most important read in my decision to by a 197. That doesn't mean I didn't go out and drive one first (which I did) but I do value their opinion, and it is an informed opinion, and I think having owned the car for a month that the reviews are spot on.

I am interested to know if anyone has bought a non-cup CS 200? I love my FF 197 and think that my ability (which is quite reasonable as I have been driving for almost 25 years and have had many fast cars) will run out before the car's on most normal roads.

Sorry, when we rated this car at the owners club we gave it a 4 out of 10. Scored badly on body work, interior and originality.

HI EVERYONE PLEASE EXCUSE THE CAPS

I DON'T GIVE A f**k MY CARS ARE NEVER MEANT TO APPEAL TO NARROW MINDED ONE MAKE OBSESSED FOOLS LIKE YOU.

I bought the Williams's as my Mum owned number 79 bought on launch day and I coveted that car but was too young to own it.

I have stuck with them as they make great cheap fun tracktoys.

Angry old man rant over.

I love CS

xxxx

He is going for some kind of record to see how many times he can get banned from various clio related websites.

no its just as stiff :) Sorry i didnt realise its was about the stiffness etc, no its just the same with more gizmos

I honestly don't think banning him would be a good thing. You gotta give him 10/10 for entertainment value. I'm warming to the guy in a none ghay sort of way.

I've read (but not driven yet!) that the 200 without the cup packs is softer than a 197?

It's strange they moan about the stiffness. I cannot see the Lambo SV thing being like a fluffy pillow.

It's relative to the weight I'd imagine. Heavy car has to be stiff, but a heavy stiff car rides in a completely different way to a light but stiff car.

No cheap jokes about the stiffness.

So hands up who would like to see some in car footage of Brad showing his awesome skills?

;)

Yea, I suppose you feel it more I guess as there is more mass and momentum in a bigger car. I'd still expect similar criticisms though.

Hang on a minute. The car that causes people like you to clutch at his chest if someone so much as changes the wipers and you marked it down for lack of originality?

For christ sake this guy is a rally leg!end. Didnt you see him over take that light blue rally car near the end sponsored by the Learner driving company?

Paul

No offence mate, but your williams was a nail. Good for moving furniture about, but not really a drivers car.

and urs is any different?

oh.i mean your mums.

and as a drivers car.......arent they there to be driven??

i can post some vids if youve forgotten what they look like from inside driving.

I did. The first time I sat in a Clio was once it had been delivered.

Evo had a 172 Cup long term and they said at trackdays it drew the longest queues for passenger rides whilst soaking up all the abuse with ease.

That was enough for me, they got it bang on.
