Exalto PE2 - Advice needed ASAP

Just had my mk2 172 serviced (24k) and Ive been advised that I need 4 new bands of rubber.

Ive been quoted by my local ATS £318.88 for 4 - 195/45/16 V - Mich Exalto PE2s

Are these anygood? The ones on my car at the mo are the original contis on the rear (24k miles) and Pherrili (sp) on the front (10k max)

Good tyres. Standard fitment on the 182 and most people seem to rate them.

£318 for 4 seems a good price too.

Yes they are good and that is quite a good price.

Your other option as well is what i did and what alot of others do, that is go up to the 205s as on the 182.

price is a bit out, there only £62 on mytryes, if you wanted the 205/45/16 (like the 182 ones) then you would pay more

Price seems a bit expensive if you ask me. Should be looking at around £280 or so for 4?

Ive been extremely impressed with them on both road and track. They are 205/45/16 on the 182 though. £120 a tyre.

See if theyll go cheaper though. When I had a 172 I replaced all 4 with Eagle F1 GS-D3 for £72.50 a tyre.

Was thinking the same. £80/tyre fitted sounds pretty good. £70.tyre fitted sounds f**king ace for PE2s!!

£62.20 on mytyres.co.uk then you are prob looking at £12 each fitting, balance, valve, casing disposal

The £318 was fitted, so £80ish. I was quoted £434 for the same tyres at my other local tyre place.

hope they will last longer this time!!

just checked out mytyres.co.uk - their coming out at £254.40 then theres the fitting etc, so not much cheaper.

Costco i belive do them at around £60-£70 fitted, balanced etc.

Helps if youre a member though...
