Exaltos @ 5000 miles

Ive had the 182 for 5000 miles and Im still very happy with it!

Ive noticed the steering is feeling sligtly less sharp than it first did, this is either me getting used to it or the tyres going off slightly, has anyone else experienced this?

On the subject of getting used to the car, the power feels down a little bit, I know this is moslt likely me just getting used to the car but is there anyway Reno can do a health check which will give an indication as to whether or not everything is ship-shape?

The car has been run on 98 since new and Im going to change the oil on the 6000 mark, that might loosen it up slightly.

check your tyres, I had handling problems in the wet after about 9k, realised front tyres were bald, changed them (at 11k ;) back to normal after that

Yup pressures are fine, tread depth is fine, muust just be my bloody imagination!

Any decent alternates to Exaltos out there? I dont want to experiment with different tyres and find they kill the handling, im also not wanting to splash the cash on Exaltos and have no benefit from them during the winter months!

Dont know what sorta weather ur used to having where ur based, but where I am, its mainly wet roads in the winter.....

Exalto IIs are absolutely superb in the wet (IMO)... (oh, and I used only 2mm tread in 12000 miles, by swapping fronts to rear at 6000 mies)...

Alternative is maybe Pilot Sports (again, good in wet, but not sure about whether as good as exalto).

Is this right my local F1 garage has offered me - Mitchelin Exalto II re2 - for £64 each inc vat surely this is wrong i would have thought £90 at least per corner.
