Excess road noise

  Monaco Clio 172
Since putting my 17s back on the car about a week ago ive notice what i think to be loads more road noise. Ive not long changed both front shocks which were genuine parts.
I know ive got a humming wheel bearing on the back but this is defo coming from the front.

Yes but brand can make a difference in road noise, as Rhys has said, lower profile tyres could be the cause as well.

Ditch the 17's, as davo said 205-45-17 seems too big?

45's are surely huge if you have 17" too?

In terms of actual noise though, brand of tyre would be cause tbh, yours aren't really that low profile.

205 40 17 is what you need on 17s that's what I run 5mm overall diameter different to the 205 45 16 s need a lightweight wheel too.
Tyre choice can cause road noise but most likely wheel bearing.
