So I bought an exclusive from Russ_16v in December and thought it was about time I got a project thread up and running.

When I bought the car it had a misfire and spongey brakes so went down to SJM for a service, new throttle cable, throttle body cleanout, powerflex dogbone mount and brake fluid change...

Next up were Eibach springs, new rear shocks, new exhaust mounts and replacing those awful 182 wheels with something a bit lighter..

Next up, matched inlets, cup alternator setup, replace the awful pattern exhaust and getting the damage on the o/s repaired

So it was back down to SJM yesterday for a cup alternator setup (happy valentines) and it was joined in the workshop by a distant cousin some of you may recognise...

All supervised by the distant cousin...

Bumper off..

Had a look at how the exclusive's shoes might look on it's cousin..

Back together minus air con and non working fogs (looking for a set of blanks)

Minor update today, got a bargain exhaust with a minor crack in it from Dan

Promptly welded up and on the exclusive!

Sadly the powerflex mount has torn already.. it'll be Sikaflex time soon...

I actually like the original fit BBS wheels these come with but think I'm with the minority there

If you're still looking for foglight blanks I have a set of genuine Renault blanks that will clip into place. They'll need paint as they're white

Nah he has some fog blanks now.

Only thing this one really needs now is belts due to a dephaser rattle and a remap

Got a pair thanks, funnily enough they were white too until I wrapped them.

I must've tried for 20 minutes to get those additional few bhp but to no avail. I'm still very impressed at the torque it made.

Torque is very strong. Nearly as much torque as bhp.

I like the bonnet vent aswell.
