Exhaust advice

After spending boring money on belt services/tyres/mot/insurance etc etc, I'm going to spend some on a new exhaust system.

Basically could you throw me some suggestions on what to look at? Id rather keep away from the stealth systems as i fancy a different look to the back end.

Whats the general view on decats too?

yozza sport are highly praised for there craftsmanship and work, decats do free up abit of power but are just VERY loud when introduced to an exhaust system and heavy right foot!!

Yozza systems are loud full stop though they are very good quality.

Will do what ever you want (noise and style), go over and ask. Carl had a inward rolled 3.5 inch slash cut done by them on his 172, I ve had my 182 done there as well and the track car will hopefully getting a race exhaust from them.

Theres a Vid on Youtube of a 182 with a AAS system with a Decat, Its LOUD. But my AAS system is no louder than standard.

I dont want it too loud so im guessin a decat is out the question. Are the 182 decats different to a 172?

Supposed to be easier to fit than a 172 ie bolt on bolt off so you could get a decat and do it yourself. They also do a Hiflo cat so you could ask a price for that aswell. Sent them a message this afternoon asking about prices (Ktecs sport cats are around £280) so you could get the exhaust done at AAS and then order a sport cat or decat from ktec and fit it yourself at a later date depending on price.

Its ok buying an exhaust by mail order but should it go wrong or not fit that's when things become frustrating. AAS is based in Newcastle and as he lives within reasonable travelling distance it would make more sense for peace of mind.
Where as Yozza and Ktec and a bit further a field to travel.
If AAS were not up to scratch I for one would tell people to to avoid to reduce the flow of income to their pockets, however they do a great job and even the guys at Ktec seemed impressed with the work carried out when they had my car up in the air, to fit coilovers.

Ive seen a badly fitted yozza though Had nothing to do with Fred or yozza more the place that fitted it. The tail pipes were not even close to the bumper cut outs,.

No thats some random that made a awesome video and uploaded it to youtube, To loud for me mine is now louder thand standard (im a motorway warrior).
The guys at AAS think that that 182 is to loud as well, but thats what the guy asked for so they did it.

They just think is generally to loud, because originally he bought the system and asked for it Loud. AAS were happy with it like that it was later he went back and asked for the Decat to be added. This is what makes it insanely loud.
