exhaust/back box

i have a 1.2 16v and am wondering will there be any noticable powergains from a cat back exhaust? a custom job fitted is around 300 so is quite a bit to spend as a back box is a lot cheaper. if i got a back box i would have around another 200-150 to spen on brakes and suspension, i am after a raspy sound, so is a backbox a better option or would a cat back be considersbly better i.e. power wise.

also is there any power gains to be had from back box?

can anyone reccomend a good backbox?

Dont think there will be any differance i would just go for the backbox,what sytle zorst are u after ie round, oval, twin.

im after a 2.5-3" oval tailpipe, i will be getting a 172 bumper so want to get it cut in
