Exhaust centre piece?

About a year ago i purchased a stainless steel backbox for my 1.2 16v dynamique, now i am looking to replace the centre pipe between the cat and the backbox...

Is this worth doing? ie will i notice any difference in performance or sound?

not a massive change in power but will feel a better to rev, isnt likly to rot into pieces either.
