Exhaust Developmet in Australia

Hi guuys & gals,

As you might know you are spoiled in the UK for your choice of aftermarket parts, so I took it upon myself to do some custom devlopment on the Clio.

I used a really good local crew to fashion a full Stainless Steel exhaust with a metal 200 cell Cat and two high flow mufflers.

Very nice! Quality looks great, sounds amazing really like the centre section but you should have de-cat'ed
Althought there are a lot of aftermarket ones available a lot of us have custom systems built anyway.

Looks lovely. But don't be disapointed if you've gained little or nothing. The OE exhaust is actually pretty efficient by all accounts.

Yup. The OE cat on the 182 is 200 cell anyway! (400 on 172 iirc)

I looked into the Cat and it's by far a lot more restrictive than the sports Cat and HEAPS heavier. Would have to say that a de-cat would be better but wasn't prepared to take the risk.

I have a before dyno graph and will be going to the same dyno and operator in the next couple of weeks, there has been losts of arguments about if an exhaust does anything at all.

I do know the throttle response is better, if that equates to more power I will just have to wiat and see.
