exhaust heat wrap

as some of you know i made a 182 style exhaust for my car, i went for drive yesterday for about 45 minutes and when i got back i checked the exhaust / bumper. everything was fine but the rear bumper was a little warm on the left handside, it hadnt melted though. i was just wondering whether putting exhaust heat wrap on it would help keep the heat in the exhaust and away from the bumper.

yes it will or use a heat shield. Saying that unless it's touching i wouldn't think it would melt it

nope its not touching mate it was just warm as the pipe is close to it. but if the wrap will help then i will do it just as precaution
