Exhaust Recommendation

Hi Everyone,

I’m looking for an exhaust with a particular criteria. I want something that is reasonably quiet on start up and for general round town/ motorway journeys but that comes alive popping and banging when you put your foot down. Before I had the Clio 182 I had an Astra VXR with a Miltek cat-back system that was exactly that. But it was expensive and I’d rather not pay that much again lol!

Any advise would be gratefully received.

I have a Milltek cat back with decat. Without the decat it was barely any louder than the standard exhaust for general driving, but really sounds beasty when giving it the beans.

Where you located?

I had a custom one made at Meerkat exhausts up in scotland. One of the only exhausts i would run on my car. His work is 2nd to none. Mine is loud but i wanted it to be.

He makes the seven valley motorsport 4inch systems for the latest GTRs.

I have got a K-Tec 'Sports' system on my 182, that doesn't seem much louder than the standard setup round town.

I'm in Portsmouth so Scotland is a little out of the way for me lol. I'll have a look at K-Tech too. Shame you can't really try before you buy lol

Prospeed exhausts in cardiff. Charlie knows his stuff and will do whatever you want. Mine had cat amendment and catback but wanted it to be quiet around town, but made a noise when giving the beans. At 70 on the motorway it is easily bearable.
