Exhaust shooting its load!!!

  RS Clio 182
Had interesting experience the other week at my local rolling road. After a few blasts on the RR my exhaust decided to shoot literally a bucket load of water. Was a little concerned as we had to terminate the test and after a little research found that it may possibly have been just a simple water build up. It was an effing load of water and just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
(Just aswell I have a brand spanking new Milltek waiting for fitment :))

oh my god yes, mine was in front of about 30 people, very embarrising. but it is just water, the R&R showed up no problems and its apparently just water in the back box, as when i give it a boot full its like the niagra falls out the twinpipe.

also orderd a new exhuast so i hope it will cure it.

Yeh same ere, everytime I boot it my rear window is covered. Mine didnt show any problems either but was a bit frustrated we had to stop. Gonna try and see if I can have a re run

water build up inside the exhausts on 182's seems to be fairly common due to the design of them, they usually take a bit longer than normal to burn away condensation in the system on start up if its been sitting a while

  None :(
i used to get this a lot on my standard system after 5.5k rev's. But haven't seen it happen yet with the new system (scorpion rs192).

When i remover DarrenS's exhuast, it had LOADS in it! Could here it sloshing around, I would guess a couple of llitres came out of the boxes!

No wonder they fall apart! :(

Mine still smokes water when hot with the Yozza. Not as much as it did with the standard system but it still does. Just the design with the back boxes not far from the tailpipe so when washing get alot of water in there most probably.

LOL it's condensation, not water shooting up the pipes from washing.

Mine was just as bad when you fitted my Scorpion, I emptied loads more out of it at home, yet there is still some sloshing about in there somewhere!

You don't understand, I would have thought you had a little more common sense tbh!!! When I wash the car and hose the pipes water goes down the tail pipes and gathers in the back box. As your car heats and drives the water boils... As it comes from the exhaust into winter air it cools and returns to liquid/vapour. This is why they excessivley smoke. As water has gathered.

Tbh, it's funny as last week weren't you asking why they smoke excessivley? Suddenly you're Mr Expert "LOL".

HAHAHA Epic fail Sir.

Water is made when the hydrocarbon called Petrol ;) is burnt. Thats why water is in the back box. Basic chemistry.
