Exhausts Which one

Iv just brought a CLIO!!!! Expression 1.2 16V and there seems to me no space to fit a straight exhaust without having to cut into my rear bumper, does ne one know of any exhaust systems which i can fit without having to get the saw out on my new car?????

NE HELP WANTED!

How the f**k would he know! They only make exhausts for Renaults so I doubt he has first hand experience. Probably just heard it on the SSC! (Damn, wheres that rolls eyes smiley when you need one!)

Anyway, ask every one on here who has a K-Tec exhaust, and nearly all of them will tell you the same as me and brun.

i have the KTR 6x3" oval system, and can easily say i have made the right choice, sounds lovely, fits beautifully, although it does need adjustiong every now and then, and looks beautiful (although it is now gold rather than silver)

I have seen Ktecs ones and yes they are very good. Personnaly im going for a torsion tuning twin side exit with an exit either side of the car

Mines going to be better though!! Torsion Tuning custom job would be a good idea for you as well though mate.

Metzy said your gettin something a little special matey. What is it?

Top secret :D

Or the fact I havent actually decided yet, but there was talk of a tailgate exit!!

ok then can some recommend a K tec exhaust, im looking for perfromance more than noise level!! ne one got an idea of cost??:D

Performance its got to be between Ktec slash cut jobbie or Torsions side exit. I have had both and i saw only slightly better power gains off the side exit as its a massive straight through system with hardly any restrictions. But both were better than the scorpian i had before and the powerflow one

This is Ben16vs saxo mate

*awaits slating*

i never really said K-Tek zausts were sh*t, i think that was just a nice way of asking you all what you thought without offending anyone :p

I doubt your insurance would allow a full system benno if they have said that u cant have alloys etc.., ull be lucky if they let you have a magic tree :p

Ive got a k-tec. Its the way to go im afraid, its a excellent system, fits straight on, sounds nice and there no way the popes sh*tting in my woods.

Torsion tunings would give more power because the exhaust length is shorter. However, i cant imagine them being any better than say powerflow, and in fact probably worse as they must have less experience?

I am slightly dubious about k-tecs offererings..i dont think they should need adjusting now and then. Havent seen one in the flesh so cant judge construction, however i wouldnt expect them to be as good as Hayward and Scott for example.

My advice would be just get the one which sounds/looks the nicest, forget about BHP, gains are minimal and you have to pay big bucks to get something back worthwile.

Rob - The wleding on my powerflow exhaust was fappin terrible i had to get Torsion to sort it out as i was having loads of issues. I have a friend who works for Powerflow who told me that when u get a franchise they send u on a 1 or 2 day course to learn how to Weld. Ive known Dave and jon ( at torsion) for about 7 years now which is about the length of time they have been doing exhausts and he Dave is a coded Wleder the work they have done on my last 6 cars has been fappin superb. My powerflow exhaust was ok not as good as Ktecs but i know how much they pay for them and they are not their own exhausts. I have power runs on both my clio and my 5 that shopw the performance figures before and after each system and top 2 have been in second place the custom rear exit they did for me and in first place my side exit. Ktecs is 3rd with only one or two BHP difference. Then powerflow then scorpian and my current magnex one is a complete bag of poo. But thats soon to change

Fair play, its just i presumed a garage would have experience before getting the franchise but the guys at TT appear to have plenty of experience as well from what youve said.

ben if i was you i would knock a hole in the existing backbox and stick a dirty exhaust trim on it from home and motorsave.

Rob matey Dont get me wrong Its just my opinion but ive been to a lot of so called specialists for all of my cars and i seem to get a bum deal most of the time. But Torsion have never let me down matey

Dear Black RT, i would do! but some one who goes to teh same college as me has a black clio and hes already done it!!

you would do it but your car is gona take so long to come that i;ll probably be drivin round in a v6 while your still waitin at the reno garage for a 1.2, read all the posts on how long evryones car is takin to come. I think that person you was on bout at the same college as you drives a saxo doh he.;)
