expensive months, whats been your worst

£150,000 on a house and £60,000 paying off the ex-girlfriend for her share of the house....... 2nd March 2008 was an expensive day.

On the plus side I cleared the mortgage December 2008 and have been debt free since

Every month is expensive, especially with my car and all its problems.
This month:
Service and cambelt £460, new brake pads and discs £200, petrol £200 all other bills £500
October 2009: New gearbox and clutch kit £950, new headlight (as a pigeon flew into mine) £50 other bills £500, petrol £200.
April 2009: New wheels £650, tyres £250, fitting £40, service, £300, MOT £40, Insurance £1100

I hate to think how much money I have actually spent on my 182!!

180 on tax

So you need tax, two tyres, and crash damage repaired on a car you've had 2 months?

I guess on the 172 it was the cambelt and service bill which was £550-£600 I have forgotten.

Borrowed £2000 off my mum to buy a Orion 1600i Ghia on the saturday.

Bought it Sunday.

Borrowed £1400 off Dad to insure it on Monday (TPFT!! IDIOT!)

Wrote it off the following tuesday! Had it 8 days!

Expensive lesson.

Cambelt due this summer!

I feel your pain dawn, in the next few weeks i have the vee's tax (£215), just had to have a rear tyre (£211), got an insurance renewal of just under a grand, needs the service which is around £1200 plus the cost of getting back/to the car at the workshop, either going to be sg motorsport or mark fish? This is not even including my 2nd car, just had an MOT, needs taxing, a service, new brakes.

lol! I will be going to sg motorsport, got a quote for the 24k service + cambelt inc the usuals. Cant grumble! Will be taking her there late summer :approve:
