get yourself a copy of "classic american" motor magazine - there are about 10 companies in there that specialise in exporting cars anywere in the UK

Personally i would buy yourself a nice tuned holden monaro 5.7 V8, but then again im a big yank fan

yeah i lived over there for about 5 years they love there 5.7s but i want something they have never ever seen!!! they banned the cosworth from bathurst because the cossys pissed all over them

they dont understand a 2.0 turbo can be quicker than there 5.7s

Im emigrating to NZ soon and considered taking a Trophy with me :).

To ship your own will cost anywhere from £500 to £2000 depending upon who you use (e.g. if youre taking a container with your stuff in anyway, you could also fit a car in free) - although you do need to factor in the costs for draining all fluids/registering it again/import duty etc. You may have to pay more duty if youve owned the car under a year too - Although if the car is less than 6 months old you can claim UK VAT back!

You can still buy 182s new in Oz (V6s are special order in NZ, so not sure whether you could still get a new one - although they work out at £33k)

Itll hold its value pretty well too!

Matt

Simple - learn to do it yourself :D

you should be able to get parts from the Renault dealers out there (see dealers at http://www.renault.com.auwww.renault.com.au) - although there arent that many, and you may have a wait for some uncommon parts to come from Europe. There are some V6s out there - its in single figures I think, so you are unlikely to see another one!

For me the lure of a cheap Evo locally and low fuel prices is winning at the mo!

my dad pissed himself when i last spoke to him he asked what petrol prices were doing and i said optimax in my local garage is 97.9p costs me £37.00 to fill up my 1.6 and equivalant to £15 to fill his 5.0 v8 over in aus!! were did we go wrong over here??? defo looking into this

  Golf GTI 1.8T

remember when i went there a few years ago now but, unleaded was 28p a litre and lpg was 12p. lol
