Exposed power wires under dash

I removed something from my car which had been hard wired in.

I removed what I could leaving two wires spliced into my loom and an earth. I wasn't sure how to proceed so I used electrical tape to wrap up the exposed connectors and I wrapped some more around the snipped off earth to stop them all touching things. Will this be ok?
