External HDD (NAS & USB)?

I'm looking for an external hard drive for my laptop and TV (and future purchase of ATV).

I currently have a 1TB HDD plugged into the TV by the USB, works well. But when I want to update the HDD with new movies/music/pictures, I need to unplug it from the TV and plug it into the laptop.

I'd like to be able to add/access the files via the network AND the USB port.

E.g. Laptop can add/access the files using the router/network/. And the TV access the files via the USB port.

I'm looking at THIS however according to the reviews, the USB port can't be used?!

On the downside, you CANNOT use this device as a external h'drive via the USB port.
What a shame, otherwise a good NAS.

Any advice or recommendations?

plug it into your tv via hdmi and also acts as a nas drive

I have a cable and a little button switch. Cost me a couple of quid. But I guess it's more awkward for a laptop.

I ended up buying an ATV2 today, so I'll just buy a normal NAS in the near future.
