Ive currently got a 40 point lead in the Drivers' champ with the McLaren,going into Canada....this car is much faster than all the rest ive been in...its a battle between us,Mercedes & Red Bull for the constructors.....Sauber are nowhere compared to last season!

This game really infuriates me.
Ive already ranted about this but I'm going to rant again.
Did Valencia on Intermediate, 4 seconds a lap quicker than P2 Vettel.
Did Spa on Pro and I was 4 seconds a lap slower than P1 (Vettle again)
Hiw can there be 8 seconds a lap between Inter and Pro!?
2 seconds to 3 seconds, maybe 4 but 8 seconds?

+1 that's my gripe with this game learning curve is fubar. Only way I enjoy it is if I don't bother qualifying start at back and make my way through the pack whilst trying not to have a collision
Thats exactly what I do now!!!
I run on lean aswell so I can't overtake on the straights.
Your right about the learning curve, on 2011 it was a lot more gradual, although Legend was too easy (between inter and pro in 2012)
It's not encouraging me to move onto the next level (pro) as I just find myself going back through the field constantly, yet on inter I'm 4 seconds a lap quicker at the front.

This fast left handers at Spa are mental. I don't know where I loose so much time in them, the AI seems to take corners without braking...
What sort of lap times are you doing round Valencia and spa?
I'm doing 1:39's in valencia and high 1:49s in spa.
do you play with setups?
i always run no aero, high pressure brake, 1 front 11 rear balance, 1 and 1 front and rear spring height and 11 and 11 spring stiffness.
The biggest step I made in lap times were when I ran manual gears and no traction.

I do run set ups but I'm on full traction and auto gears 
Have a practice with manual gears first, you can use the gears to help you brake alot later, once you've mastered manual gears knock the traction off and just take it easy coming out of the slow corners.
if your struggling with understeer on the fast corners which I hear alot of people complaining about, give it a squirt of kers mid corner to bring the front in.

Anyone get problems with pit limiters sticking on?
Got this on the pc and 2 races now I've had to just wait for everyone to finish whilst I dawdle around the track in first. Only happens after a pit stop so it must be the limiter, engineer says feck all about it being a box failure?

But Forza is a completely different game lol?
Good track Austin, can be tricky to setup due to wanting a stiff front and rear due to the esses's and then wanting a nimble front end on the last sector with the tight corners.
You'll love manual gears once your use to it, lot easier to drop it down a cog and use engine braking on the fast corners than using brakes and upsetting the balance mid corner, also find you can brake alot later.

Well last season for me - had a 90 point lead at the mid stage point - so i stuck it on Legend. Much harder,some qualifying ive been nowhere but ive managed to scrape a couple of 2nd places and some 7/8ths.....but going into the last race my lead is down to 19 points! Tense stuff - but a good top 5 finish would see me hold on and win a 2nd championship. My TM Webber in 2nd has won most races since i changed difficulty!
