F4R/F4RT hybrid conversion

Car  172cup turbo & rx8
I can get hold of a 07 plate f4rt engine with 25k for a great price so I’ve been looking recently into doing a conversion and after a bit of research it seems the idea of using the f4r bottom end seems the way to go,

What where the biggest problems/headaches that you lot can foresee?

I’ve tried to pm Andyrg about his but his inbox is full!

If your using a f4r bottom end you will only be using head and pistons from the f4rt is it still worth it? Price up wossner pistons and h rods First.

People seem to use a combination of F4R and F4RT bits. I think they use the F4R bottom end to retain the standard box as the 6 speed Megane box is a tight fit and requires some modding. Would be great to see this done though, retaining the 6 speed box.

For the amount of work involved in building a hybrid lump, I'd just turbo the stock F4R engine.

Or just fit the f4rt lump with the Clio box!! Note there was a few headaches involved ha,

Ha yea prob, intact getting the box too fit the block was prob the easy part of the whole conversion
