F4R Main Studs

Hi Guys,

How common is it to replace the main studs when rebuilding an F4R? will be carrying out a basic rebuild on my motor and would rather not spend the extra £100+ on studs if it's not necessary, its a bog stock engine so wont be over stressed.

Mark, any insight on the conrod bolts too? 70-80 quid on 8 ARP bolts!! - are they that special?

Also I think the OP was referring to the head studs, although good to know about the main bearing bolts ;)

Yeah. Use arp! Lol! That's as much insight into that as I'm ever going to have.

I'm on standard head bolts as well. Good enough for R3 maxi - good enough for me. :up:
