Face Off Screens

Hi

Saw a 172 at MaxPower with a monitor where the cup holder was and I had this idea too.
Thing is, I dont have a garage, do any of you know if face-off screens are available ??

You mean an in dash one? If so then only pioneer and clarion I think.


Oh and by face off, you only get a half face ie same width but half height.

Just get a slide out, motorised 1-DIN DVD Screen.. like the Pioneer..

In the Mk2s, it fits perfectly.. and you see read it.. unlike Mk1s, heh.

Yep^^^^.........I have the Alpine IVA-D300RB Media station and it´s awesome. Can´t take the front with you thou but you get a cover, but it don´t look of much when closed.

i think Daipac was going to make something that you could buy to fit a screen in, not sure if he has got a prototype yet tho!

i have got an alpine 1004r motorised screen which is a face off and you can pick them up for 750 quid. nice piece of kit.

What you want is a normal screen (not an in dash one) with a tray for slotting it into, prob with that is every time you put it in you gonna have to plug the cables in the back of it etc, basically just buy a screen that will fit in the space and then make a tray or get a compnay to make a tray for it to sit in, then you leave the tray in there permanently and take the screen out/hide it in glove box when you not using it
