Faded red Tu-pac (brap brap!) paint

As above. I have an old car in red and its starting to fade. It's not by any means knackered but its faded none the less.

Today i've spent a long time degreasing the car etc and i've left it indoors to dry properly.

Tomorrow i'm going to machine it in my normal manner, then what should I put on it to protect it? I appreciate its going to fade again over time, but I want to keep it shiny for as long as possible.

My machining process will be AG ultra fine renovator, Poorboys 3N. Followed up with AG deep gloss shine by hand.

The final/finishing product is where I come unstuck.

Cheers.

I feared you'd say something I can't get hold of...

What about AF Spirit wax??

Yea definitely, I've not used it before but it gets very good reviews.

How come you can get hold of AF stuff but not CarPro?

I've got a few things you can pinch if you let me know, I'm back home over the weekend so can pick things up if you need to borrow anything.

That's very kind.

I bought something off gally and he sent me a pot of spirit because he loves me.

By can't get hold of, I mean can't get by 9am tomorrow morn! lol.

Thanks for the advice/offer too. x

Spirit is one of the most durable waxes I've ever owned, keep layers as thin as possible and it's very easy to use

What's the curing time like mr lellow?

My unit is unheated if that makes any odds.

Supposed to be 5+ degrees over the weekend so apply to 2 panels, remove the first panel, apply to a third, remove the second etc. Or just apply and wipe off. The warmer it is the sooner you need to remove it.

Left to cure for too long or applied too thick it can be awkward to remove, but not as bad as AG hd wax

Lols! indeed I did!

Buy some Z2. Keep topped up after washing/drying with the crystal mist I sent you. :)

Well....

Yesterday was a busy day, especially as me, tony hunter and my dad spent most of it chatting....

But yesterday I managed to machine it with ag ultra fine renovator, then again with cg 3N, then ag deep gloss shine by hand, then so af spirit wax. I must say, the results are superb. It certainly doesn't look like 24 year old paint!

Crappy pics because its dark and raining. (When my wife gives up the laptop)
