Can happen at anytime..

For £30, i'd have them do the work. It's a messy PITA.

I had the same problem on my old one just get the garage to sort it unless you like getting your hands dirty.

Easy enough fix, you can get a 'Laser' (crap make yeah, but who cares!) tool and metal cv boot clips for about a tenner in Maccess, doesnt take long to do but gloves are a good idea!

This happened to my car at some point before I bought it...... Took absoloutley ages to clean the grease from inside of the wheel.

Had to clean a load of grease from the 172 wheel I am selling for what I presume was the same reason.

No doubt the garage won't clean the wheel (they have no reason to) so be prepared to get cleaning.

ive had mine on a ramp the other day and noticed the clip was broke on mine and i also had that horrible grease everywhere, all i did was got a big jubilee clip and put it in place of the broke one. cost bout 2 quid and about 10mins. just make sure you wear gloves as the grease will not come off your hands without a decent industrial cleaner.

hope this helps:)
