failed mot-lights wont adjust correctly!

my clio has just failed its mot, i fitted new headlamp units, and when they tested the light level adjustment, its too high, beyond the tolerance of adjustment. any ideas? When i was plugging the adjuster in, i dont think the little ball and socket clicked, could this be the reason? the reflectors seem very loose

The ball joint needs to be pluged in properly mate, they prob wont have adjusted at all though if it wasnt in correctly

lol... i had this on my last car... he said "ill sign it off, but it needs fixing" i was like "ok will do" and never got it fixed lol!

finally got it fixed, as it happens it was s imple thing to do, but still had to take both bloody headlamp units out again! just hope they tick it off tomoro then!
