Falling Tyre Pressure

Car  Was a Clio 1.8 16v

When i had my old phase 2 wheels on, one front one seemed to fall down to 25psi every week whereas the other front tyre maintained 35psi. Theres no offending object and their new tyres on front. The same happens with the rears.

Just bad tyres? Or wheels have erroded and no longer has a perfect air tight fit to the rim? If this is the case does re-fubbing them sort out the seal edges?

Could be leaky valves mate. I had a front tyre that kept losing pressure (very slowly). So, I took it up to my local garage and they just replaced the valve. It literally took 2 minutes. Problem solved!

Exs has a feck off great big screw in one of the fronts.

Its typical - non repairable, over 6mm of tread left AND its an Eagle F1 thats about £55 to replace!

Argh! :)

Not likely to be a corroded edge inside rim then?

That was the reason behind my last slow puncture, but they were steal wheels, and this pressure loss is slower than that. Nearly new Falkon tyres on the wheels at mo?

my ph 2 rims did that it was leaking from the edge of the rim took it qwik fit an they cleaned the edge an put a load of sealer on it an it was okay

adi

Thats what i reckon mines doin, but i thought you had to replace them when that started happening?

What kind of sealer? Cheers.
